We are excited to finally share with you: Rethreaded is moving into a bigger space! Can you believe it? We are overjoyed to introduce you to The Delores Barr Weaver Campus For Hope, located in Historic Springfield, Jacksonville, Florida. The space is filled with hope and has enough room for dreams as big as ours.
Here is why this is building so important for the future of Rethreaded:
Rethreaded’s dream is to never say no to a woman who is ready to start a new life. Currently, Rethreaded employs 31 people in 2,800 square feet. We are at capacity and are unable to hire any more survivors until we get more space. With this new building, Rethreaded will build and expand upon its capacity to never say no to a woman who is ready to start a new life.
This building would set Rethreaded up for a bright future: Rethreaded will be working out of the 20,000 sq. ft. building while renting out the other two buildings. This space will increase our capacity to hire up to 60 survivors at one-time. With the increased space, our employees will have greater room to grow in their jobs because of increased opportunities. Currently, Rethreaded has five career tracks for survivor employees, The Delores Barr Weaver Campus of Hope will allow us to have 16 career tracks! We, as an organization cannot wait to see dreams become reality because of everything this building represents.
“We have been searching for our forever home for four years and are so excited to have found something that exceeds our expectations,” says our Founder and CEO Kristin Keen, “I get so emotional when I think of all the lives that will be changed because Rethreaded will be able to grow exponentially in the new space.”
Here are the ways you can help:
Our goal is to raise over two million dollars to make this all possible. Rethreaded is getting close to our goal, but we need your help! We have multiple ways for you to contribute to this once in a lifetime opportunity. With every $40 donation, you will receive a one-of-a-kind Legacy Keychain from us in our beautiful Rethreaded teal, with our new building coordinates engraved on the keychain. If you wish to leave a permanent mark on our new space, you can have your name engraved on a special brick that will be placed in our new home with every $125 donation. This dream will not be possible without you. With your help, Rethreaded will be able to fulfill its dream of never saying no to a woman ready to start a new life.
Learn more about our new building here and sign up for our email newsletter to be the first to know about our new building updates.
My husband, Richard, and I are both survivors. Can we donate $125.00 and get both of our names on a brick?
Comments will be approved before showing up.
