Rethreaded has helped me heal by providing me with weekly counseling sessions through the survivor advocate program. I have been receiving much needed, one on one grief counseling which has taught me how to cope with the loss of my twin brother. My life was heavy with sorrow and pain but now has been redeemed. I live with more peace and joy. I am learning to live in the moment and able to cherish each day. The women that I have the pleasure of knowing on this journey are all amazing.
My life would be different in many ways without Rethreaded, I would still be working a menial job where I show up, clock in and get to work. At Rethreaded, I have a boss that is compassionate but also very thorough. I’ve never had a boss who was invested in the company and adding value to the employees. I do not want to think about what my life would be like without Rethreaded. It is a trauma-informed workplace where I am truly understood as a survivor and accepted!
For once in my life I’m starting to see and feel differently about myself, where before I was hopeless, felt less than and not good enough. Now I feel like I matter. Like I count for the first time in my life. I feel like a business woman instead of only dreaming about becoming one.I’m looking forward to becoming a full-time employee and working my way up to the sales department and helping to pave the way for the next lady who comes to work at Rethreaded. Rethreaded has empowered me on a personal and professional level.
What an awesome story. It truly is a blessing to love your job, the people you work with and what you do instead of getting up each morning dreading going to work. You are receiving the help and encouragement that you need and like you said paving the way for new survivor’s. Your doing an awesome job at life and also picking yourself back up and realizing that each day is a gift! I love you Kansas, keep rockin it girl!!!
I’ve been waiting to see a piece of your story revealed to the world. You are a fierce and loyal human and I know that this piece of your story is only the first of many that you will share with others. Your past definitely does not defined or confine you anymore Kansas and I am over-joyed to see such a miraculous break-through. Thank you Rethreaded for investing in the lives of women! You all rock!!

Kansas you have always been a great inspiration for me and I have always seen the best in you I hope to always have you as a friend
