We Received The Women’s Giving Alliance Grant That Will Help Us Hire More Women!

Have you heard of the Women’s Giving Alliance? They are an incredible organization of women who help change the lives of women everywhere. The Women’s Giving Alliance combines their philanthropic giving to give back to organizations who are working to end female poverty. Recently, we had the honor of receiving their prestigious grant as one of eight selected non-profits. Our Survivor Development Program is supported by a grant from the Women’s Giving Alliance, an initiative of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. We recognize The Community Foundation for their support of this project. This grant helps make way for exciting things for Rethreaded.

"The Women's Giving Alliance grant will fund a Program Administrator and Care Manager providing oversight to the Survivor Development Program and work closely with our mental health staff and the Director of Human Resources to coordinate staff training and professional development programming,” said Rethreaded Director of Finance Nikki Tubig Foiles. “The addition of these two staff members will provide the Rethreaded Survivor Development Program the necessary foundation and structure to elevate the quality of our program, offering our staff a greater chance at success."

The funds we receive through this grant also support the hiring of more survivors as part of the largest hiring cycle in Rethreaded's history! We cannot wait to welcome these women into our doors.

“It is an honor to be the recipient of the WGA grant,” said Rethreaded Founder and CEO Kristin Keen. “Over 450 compassionate and intelligent women collectively gathered resources and chose Rethreaded as a grantee. We look forward to witnessing the effects of their investment for years to come. We are so proud to stand with the WGA to empower women to reclaim their lives.”

We are so grateful to the Women’s Giving Alliance for this generous grant that allows us to change more lives of human trafficking survivors as well as add additional support staff.
