To The Women Who Raised Me

Our staff wrote letters to the women who inspire them. We are so blessed to have inspirational strong women in our lives. Check out their letters below:

My mom inspires me the most. She is brave, intelligent, kind, compassionate, and creative! She inspires me every day to be better than the day before. She is always there for the people that need her. She is intentional with her love, making sure that if you need something, she will provide it or the wisdom to go through it. Without her, I would not be who I am today. She makes people better. She encourages them to be themselves no matter what.

I love my mom. She’s the most inspiring woman in my life.

Over the last 35 years, I’ve been through many changes and have seen many things. I’ve seen my mother give all of herself to her family and love with this fierce and intense love. That love is what I call a “Mother’s love” and seeing, hearing, and feeling that love has not only inspired me but turned me into the woman and mother that I am today. It’s a love that can give you an instant feeling of ease and comfort and help carry you when nothing else seems to work and you just want to throw in the towel.  It's there for you when you need the courage to elevate yourself to the next level. My mother’s love wraps itself around me and encourages me to keep going. It tells me that I’m worthy and capable of doing great things.

This kind of love is real and it isn’t perfect, there is no right way to go about it but it is the most intense of all and always prevails. I have to admit that a lot of who I am today is because of where I come from. The love I have for my children and the ability to love others the way I do is a mother’s love through and through. I watched my mom get up and go, slip and fall, brush herself off, and continue to do it all over again. She has walked through so many things in life and she has watched me no matter what, that love hasn’t wavered and continues to protect and nurture.

The person that inspires me is my Grandma. I can remember her getting me a stool just so I could help her cook because I wanted to be just like her. She taught me and my sister how to make wildflower crowns- we were fairies with not one fear in the world. She still, to this day, is the strongest, most beautiful woman in the whole wide world. I am so grateful that my kids get to share the same experiences I had as a child, creating memories they can take back to their children one day!

Who inspires me…

My Grandmother was my biggest inspiration growing up. She was a mom of seven who always did her best. She would work shifts in factories to be able to provide for her family. She was the rock of the family. She taught me a lot of the values that I still hold onto today. She was always supportive of me even in my mistakes. She taught me that family comes first no matter what and taught me a lot of history that goes back over a hundred years. I am the woman I am today because of everything I’ve learned from her.
