Rethreaded director Kristin Keen named 40 under 40.

April 16, 2015

Our team at Rethreaded is ecstatic to announce that our founder and director, Kristin Keen, has been listed under Jacksonville Business Journal's 40 under 40 for 2015. With strong roots in social change, Kristin has been working to end the exploitation of women in Jacksonville since 2012.

Through Rethreaded, she's helped countless women overcome the sex trade. She looks forward to assisting even more as Rethreaded expands and progresses. Learn more about Kristin and her journey here.

"I can't believe that I was chosen to be in the top 40 under 40! What an honor to be in such esteemed company of some great business leaders in our community.  I never in a million years thought that I would receive an award related to business. In school, I was very intimidated by the idea of business and avoided all business classes like the plague. Now I understand that business has the power to really affect the lives of individuals, our community and world." Keen said.

"I know from my personal experience in Kolkata, India at SariBari, and now at Rethreaded in Jacksonville, that economically empowering women can give them space to become who they were created to be and build their self-confidence.  I hope that Rethreaded will continue to grow and be able to help more and more women. Thank you, Jacksonville Business Journal, for looking outside the box at our social entrepreneurship. We are trying to take the best components of business and use it to make the world a better place."
